We always talk about your home being a sanctuary, a haven– and that's one big reason to get rid of the clutter. Clutter causes stress! Everything you see around you that is out-of-place, stacked up, strewn around, or put aside is something you haven't made a decision about or taken action on.
Picture each of those items of clutter having an invisible string attached to it leading right into your brain. Wouldn't it be great to snip those strings, feel free, and enjoy your home?
There's the hard way, the right way, which is to deal with those decisions, do those tasks, and get organized. And I am still going to say that is best– for you, for your home, and for your family.
But I just found out about a new product that will allow you to temporarily snip those metaphorical strings and see nothing but Zen. Clear spaces, relaxing rooms. NO CLUTTER. This product is called "Grime Goggles®," and you can wear them for up to 4 hours at a time. You will see your space easily, with large pieces of furniture and everything where it should be, but clutter, trash, and even dirt is hidden from your sight. You can relax, have a glass of wine, and enjoy life as it should be, if just for an evening or a morning.
I am hoping that people use these Grime Goggles "for good, not evil," in that they use them as a motivator to see how great it feels without the clutter, prodding them for a great reward of feeling that way all the time with NO special glasses on.
And I am also hoping that everyone pays attention to what day it is and realizes that this is yet another… APRIL FOOLS JOKE! 🙂 These glasses pictured here are actually the funky and awesome bed spectacles that my husband and I enjoy wearing to watch TV or read in bed. They allow you to see what's in front of you as if you were sitting up, but the prism lenses let you see it perfectly while lying down completely flat. NO, I will not publish a photo of me wearing these. But you can imagine, they are dorkalicious. Here is a link from Amazon to see them for real (photo credit here–Amazon).
What would you do with Grime Goggles? Can't wait to hear your comments on this one. And see my previous April Fools blog jokes here, here, and here.
Big cheesy grin,

They seem to be similar to Peril-Sensitive Sunglasses from the Sirius Cybernetics corporation. They are frequently worn by Zaphod Beeblebrox (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy)
