Being efficient and saving time is a big part of being an organized person. Today I am in touch with my "Inner Geek" and wanted to tell you about one of my favorite Microsoft Word shortcuts that saves a ton of time and hassle!
Have you ever typed a really long phrase, or even a sentence or paragraph, IN ALL CAPS AND THEN CHANGED YOUR MIND? Or maybe you typed it in mixed-case or lower case, and then wanted to make it ALL CAPS? You probably sighed deeply and then started re-typing the whole thing.
All you have to do is highlight the text you want to change, and press SHIFT+F3. Keep pressing it and see what happens– it toggles between ALL CAPS, all lower case, and Mixed Case. Doesn’t that feel great? Enjoy, and spread the word!

Ohhhh sister thank you for that tip! I do love me some keyboard shortcuts too! I am using the heck out of F11 these days, as well as Ctrl+B for Bold, Ctrl+I for Italic and Ctrl+U for Underline. And not just in Word, but on the web too! Woot!

M.
OMG! What an AWESOME Find! You have no idea how many hours in my job as a training content developer that I have spent having to re-type a potential “copy/paste” job just because the original author used ALL CAPS!
Now, THAT’s cool AND groovy!
Select All: ctrl A
Copy: ctrl C
Paste: crtl V
Undo: ctrl Z
Are my favorites so far
Thanks for the shortcuts, Genevieve!
I thought I knew every Word shortcut known to mankind, but this is a real find. And it works on Mac! Yay, oh yay! Thank you, Lori!
Very useful tip! Thanks so much!
